Scholarship
NCPA Scholarship for Indian Music
The National Centre for the Performing Arts offers one specially designed annual scholarship to support the best emerging talent in Hindustani vocal music.
Candidates below the age of 28 years are eligible to apply and generally applications are invited in the month of June / July each year. Selected vocalists are requested to appear for an audition before a panel of three judges. Candidates are expected to sing one raga (khayal) lasting 20 minutes with the accompaniment of only tanpura and tabla.
The scholarship is awarded to one candidate and the scholarship amount is Rs. 2000/- per month for 12 month.
