Marketing Executives

The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai, is seeking to appoint two Marketing Executives to play a key role in the Centre’s expansion as a prestigious national and international cultural organisation, and as South Asia’s premiere venue for the performing arts.

Reporting to the NCPA’s Marketing Director, applicants should have well developed marketing and administrative skills, preferably with some experience in areas such as fundraising, sponsorship liaison and brand auditing and development. Strong presentational skills are vital, and an interest in the arts would be an advantage.

Based in one of Mumbai’s landmark locations at Nariman Point, these posts will give the chosen candidates an opportunity to apply their marketing knowledge and experience in a creatively rewarding environment that also necessitates high-level corporate dealings.

These are key posts in an exciting new era of professionalism and development at the NCPA. Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with experience.

Roles & Responsibility

Reporting directly to the NCPA’s Marketing Director, Mr Deepak Bajaj, the Marketing Executives will be required to work in two main areas:

  • Developing brand audit initiatives and maintaining brand awareness, both for the NCPA and for individual projects and events at the Centre
  • Implementing sponsorship and fundraising opportunities created by the NCPA and maintaining productive relationships with sponsors and patrons

    Operational areas will include:

  • Promoting the NCPA as a venue for corporate events and developing revenue raising strands through hiring the facility.
  • Working with the programming departments of the NCPA to develop project-based sponsorship packages both in the corporate and individual patronage sectors
  • Developing branding and merchandising using the existing resources of the NCPA (e.g. website, publications, archives, on-site promotions), and working with the NCPA’s design partner to ensure the effectiveness and consistency of NCPA branding across its venues, programming and products.
  • External PR and Media liaison: generating materials for promotional use, negotiating advertising deals and strategic partnerships in order to increase the visibility of the NCPA and promote its cultural agenda both nationally and internationally.
  • Conducting market research in order to define and target audiences and develop customer and membership services at the NCPA.
