Preeti Sathe is an accomplished Kathak dancer of the Jaipur gharana who has earned critical appreciation. A disciple of Jagdish Gangani, she has a master’s in dance from the M.S. University, Baroda, and is an empanelled ICCR artiste. She has performed at prestigious national music and dance festivals since 1988, including the Jaipur Kathak Mahotsav, the Delhi Kathak Kendra Mahotsavs and the Kathak Mahotsav organised by the Kathak Kendra, Vadodara (2008). She has also done duets, like the one at the Nritya Pratibha Mahotsav, organised by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, and Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Akademi, Jodhpur (2006), and group performances too. Other solo performances include one at the Phag Utsav at Govinddeoji Temple, Jaipur and at the Pandit Hazarilalji Jayanti, Mumbai (both in 2008).


Vasi Ahmed Khan is a dynamic young artiste, a student of the late Nawab Ali Khan of the Farakhbad gharana for more than two decades. He has had the experience of performing with artistes of renown, such as Rais Khan, the late Nirmala Devi, Shobha Gurtu, Sitara Devi, Veeru Krishna and Keka Sinha. He has accompanied ghazal singers (Peenaz Masani, Ghulam Ali) and music directors too (from Khayyam to A. R. Rahman). With numerous concert tours to his credit as ICCR’s cultural ambassador, Vasi Khan has supreme mastery over rhythm. He has performed with jazz musicians too and has his own fusion music group, Upaj.
