Rafiq Ahmed, trained under his father Abdul Karim Khan, is a sarangi player and has played with legendary artistes like Pankaj Udhas, Talat Aziz, Anup Jalota, Asha Bhonsle and many others. He is currently receiving his training in sitar under the guidance of Arvind Parikh.
Uma Garg, the Hindustani classical music vocalist, received her initial guidance from her parents and her guru Late S.D. Apte. She went on to perfect her art under the tutelage of Hafeez Ahmed Khan, P. P. Johri and Mani Prasad. Currently she is under the guidance of Bhimsen Joshi and is the recipient of the “Shobhna Award” and a National Award at the 48th Film Festival in 2001. With a wide range of personal CDs and books, she is currently a professor of vocal music at the Delhi University.
