István Várdai is the only cellist in the world to have won both the International Cello Competition in Geneva (2008) and the ARD Competition in Munich (2014), the two most important competitions for cellists. Since his debut, he has performed in concerti and chamber music performances in leading venues around the world and with such renowned artists as András Schiff, Yuri Bashmet, Gidon Kremer, and Mischa Maisky, amongst others.
Winner of the 2017 Concours Musical International de Montréal for piano and recipient of a Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship, Zoltán Fejérvári has appeared in recitals throughout Europe and the United States. He has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Hungarian National Orchestra among others. Distinguished pianist András Schiff chose Zoltán Fejérvári for his “Building Bridges” series created to highlight young pianists of unusual promise.
