Facts and News

As an adjunct to its work, the NCPA’s Theatre Development Centre brought out 30 issues of Facts & News from May 1987 to September 1993. Two annual issues were also brought out in Marathi to summarize the information given in Facts & News during the year.

The general format of Facts & News was dictated by the gamut of activities of the Theatre Development Centre. It included sections on productions, institutions, personalities, themes, archival material, training programmes and reference material.

The purpose of Facts & News was to provide a sample of work in progress, disseminate information and solicit new materials for use by researchers, performers, critics and members of the public with an interest in theatre.
