Delightful works for violin and flute performed by Mumbai-born musicians, Farhad Billimoria (violin) and Dilshad Posnock (flute), with the Bombay Chamber Orchestra conducted by Karen Gorden for The Burjor D. Shroff Memorial Concert. The programme features works by Mozart, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Chaminade and Cimarosa. Gorden has proven herself to be one of the most vibrant and compelling conductors on the international music scene today. Her contributions to music have been recognised with international awards from the governments of France and Czech Republic. Billimoria is presently First Concertmaster of the Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie Schönebeck and a founding member of the Magdeburger Piano Trio. Posnock currently serves on the faculties of the Brevard Music Center and Brevard College in North Carolina, USA, and performs with the Asheville Symphony Orchestra.
