The annual Jhande ka mela has come to the town of Badripur, and Bhanu and his friends are most excited about the festive sights and sounds. Bhanu is fascinated by the wisdom-seller Chatura and is happy to buy wisdom from her for a gold coin but this completely displeases his father who demands that Chatura return his money. Chatura relents only on the promise that Bhanu will never follow her advice; rather do exactly the opposite of what she has advised. Bhanu faithfully fulfils his father’s promise only to land himself in deep trouble with the two queens. He now has to appear at King Chandrasen’s court and the only recourse is to seek Chatura’s advice. But will Chatura now agree to help Bhanu? And if she does, will her advice really save him?
