An NCPA Presentation

Pallavi Raisurana, founder of Anhad Nrityashala and disciple of Kumudini Lakhia, advocates for the appreciation and integration of Indian classical arts into everyday life. Through Kathak performances and dance education, she seeks to preserve traditional arts, while exploring contemporary themes. She has performed internationally at venues like the Rubin and Metropolitan Museums of Art (NYC), World Music Festival (Chicago) and the NCPA (Mumbai). Raisurana has a Master’s in Performing Arts from Mumbai University and is a from the Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad.

A graded artiste Sangeet Praveen with Doordarshan, Kathak exponent Gayatri Bhat is known for her captivating stage presence and expressive abhinaya. She has completed Nrityalankar under the able guidance of Ranjana Phadke. She also holds a Master’s in Fashion Design. She has performed extensively in India and has toured internationally under the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). She has been honoured with several awards and titles including ‘Nrityanipun’ by the Artharv School of Fine Arts. She has also been featured in the Rays of Hope section of The Dance India magazine. Bhat is the Artistic Director of Padanyas Kathak Institute.

Nidhi Prabhu is a Kathak artiste with over two decades of experience. She completed her Nrityalankar in Kathak under the guidance of gurus Manjiri Deo and Mukundraj Deo. She is a recipient of the Kalashri and Pt. Paluskar awards, among others and has performed at prestigious festivals. Prabhu is the founder of the dance institution, Naad Niddhi.
