Antataha is a play written by Shruti Mishra and directed by Manish Chaudhari. It takes the audience through the roller coaster of life with its fair share of surprises. It’s a both light hearted and emotional play about the moment we let someone go and how that moment leads us to a new chapter of hope.
Antataha is a play about how death, that is looked at as the end point of life and togetherness, sets the characters of the play free and pushes them to live outside the idea of ‘the end’.
The characters of Vishwa and Jiwa in the play struggle with, not only that their respective parents are about to pass on but also how excited and ready they are to move on to the next plane.
Vishwa and Jiwa are young and determined to prolong their parents’ life but their attempts are met by the non chalance of their parents who are busy planning their lives after death! A conflict ensues between what the children want and what their parents really need.
The end of a time is the start of another. The four characters of the play come to a crossroad where they truly find the freedom of life in letting each other go.
