Beethoven: Quartet Op. 18, No. 4

Beethoven: Quartet Op. 59, No. 2

The NCPA presents the 30th edition of Artie’s Festival this month. The programming for the festival, always curated by Gauthier Herrmann and NCPA Chairman Mr. Khushroo N. Suntook, will include well-known masterpieces, relatively lesser-known compositions and reductions of famous orchestral works. In this edition, Artie’s launches a new series called Mostly Beethoven which begins the Beethoven quartet cycles.

Artie’s Festival, founded at the NCPA in 2008, has since toured the Gulf, Southeast Asia and Europe. Known for inventive programming, the ensemble performs chamber masterpieces alongside arrangements of symphonic works—memorable highlights include Bruckner’s 7th and Mahler’s 4th with Dame Felicity Lott.
