Uma Dogra, a leading Kathak exponent, is one of the most powerful and compelling dancers of India. Dogra is the senior-most ganda-bandh shagird of Durga Lal, the legendary Kathak maestro from the Jaipur gharana. With Baithak, she will not only share her passion for Kathak but also explain its nuances, history and make the audience try a bit of Kathak. Baithak is a lecture-demonstration and performance ending with a Q&A, wherein the audience will be seated on the floor. A must-do for aspiring dancers and parents to understand the beauty of Kathak. Attendees are requested to be in Indian dance attire.
