An Introduction to Musical Theatre

Where singing, dancing and storytelling come together, this energetic week-long workshop introduces children to the exciting world of musical theatre. Through fun games, movement exercises and performance activities, participants will explore how performers use music, dance and acting to bring stories to life.

Designed for beginners and young performers alike, the workshop encourages creativity, teamwork and self-expression in a supportive environment. The week culminates in an informal sharing, where participants will showcase a musical theatre routine for family and friends.

Participants will take away:
An introduction to musical theatre and its key elements: acting, dance and storytelling
Experience of different movement styles, including jazz and contemporary dance
Improved rhythm, coordination, musicality and stage presence
Greater confidence in performance, collaboration and self-expression
The opportunity to perform for family and friends at the end of the workshop
