NrityAvani Raas-Garba Nritya
By Avani Shah & troupe

An NCPA Presentation

For the last 40 years, Avani Shah has expressed her devotion to the goddess Durga through the vibrant tradition of Raas-Garba. A trained Bharatanatyam and Kathak dancer, she transitioned from classical repertoire like the varnam to creating her own signature style, ‘swarnam’. As a choreographer and founder of her troupe, NrityAvani, she continues to blend tradition with creativity. This Navratri, NrityAvani will present a special performance featuring 40 dancers celebrating Gujarati folk music and the spirit of the festival.
