These programmes are in the field of Hindustani vocal (dhrupad and khayal) and instrumental music (melody and percussion instruments). This series is launched to showcase the beneficiaries of the above schemes. Born in a family of musicians, Omkar Agnihotri started training in harmonium and vocals at the tender age of two and a half under the guidance of his grandfather, Surmani Uttamrao Agnihotri, followed by advanced harmonium training under Vishwanath Kanhere and Siraj Khan. Agnihotri has performed in India and abroad, including solo harmonium performances in Singapore. Saurabh Kadgaonkar has an M.A. in Vocal Music, Sangeet Visharad in vocal music and harmonium. He studied classical and light vocal music from his father Sunil Kadgaonkar and today, he is a senior disciple of Raghunandan Panshikar, who was a disciple of Kishori Amonkar. He has won several accolades and has performed all over India in concerts and national platforms including Zee Marathi’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and All India Radio.
