Milind was initiated into music at the age of six under the guidance of Sharankumar Guttargi in Mysore. After a brief period of learning, further training continued with Ravindra Yavagal for nearly a decade. For the last three years, Milind has been receiving advanced taalim from Yogesh Samsi at the Vishwashanti Sangeet Kala Academy in Pune, as part of the ‘Citi-NCPA Support to Gurus’ programme. Amruta Mogal has been learning Hindustani classical vocal music for the last 18 years from Manjiri Asnare-Kelkar, who is a well-known vocalist from the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana, and for whom Mogal has given vocal support during various concerts, including recording for Doordarshan. She has been teaching vocal music and conducting music appreciation workshops for several years. Mogal is a ‘Citi-NCPA Scholarship Winner 2013-14’ for advanced training in Indian Classical Music.
