‘DADA – AN ACCIDENTAL PICTORIALIST’ is a photography archive of photographs taken by Shri Dhirajlal R Mody between 1938 &1954. D.R. Mody – a.k.a DADA – was a middle-class, mill-working Mumbaikar and a hobbyist photographer, who went on to become one of the founders of The Photographic Society of India (established in 1937) – one of the oldest existing photographic societies in the country.

Conceptualised and compiled by his grandson, Tapan Mody and his team, the DADA exhibition shall showcase a selection of vintage photographs, awards and memorabilia curated by one of India’s finest curators – Veeranganakumari Solanki.
