Dad’s Girlfriend marks the theatrical debut of the popular actor and poet Shailesh Lodha. The story revolves around Lodha, a successful author, speaker and professor, who, despite his accomplished career, has struggled to connect with his family, including his wife and daughter, Diya. Now married to Kanav, a theatre artiste, Diya excitedly welcomes her father as he comes to India to stay with them. And thus begins Lodha’s exploration of his relationship with his daughter for the first time.
As the funny banter between a witty Lodha and a nervous Kanav takes shape, the plot thickens when Avni, an old fan and ardent follower of Lodha, starts visiting frequently, leading to hilarious confrontations and moments of insecurity for Diya. As Avni wishes to walk on the path of love with Lodha, he finds himself at a crossroads, torn between his rekindled bond with his daughter and the attention of Avni.

This play by Atul Satya Koushik is a delightful and humorous exploration of lost and found relationships.
