Dastangoi, the ancient art of oral storytelling traditionally performed in Urdu, finds a fresh and vibrant voice in Dastangoi Gujarati. This unique adaptation breathes life into timeless Gujarati tales—both classic and contemporary—presented in a style that is engaging and culturally rich.

While traditional dastangoi centred on themes of war and tragedy, this rendition pays tribute to Gujarati culture within the modern context by exploring stories filled with humour, courage, relationships and everyday life.

Utopia Communications is the force behind Dastangoi Gujarati, running successfully for over five years, with more than 20 renowned artistes bringing their voices to this journey. Dastangoi Gujarati stands as a testament to the power of language, culture and live performance, celebrating stories that connect the past and present.
