Conceptualised by Usha RK
(approx. 100 mins)
An NCPA Presentation
A trained Bharatanatyam dancer, arts consultant and critic for over three decades, Usha RK has conceptualised Divya Vivaaham, where she celebrates Hindu wedding rituals that have been marginalised of late. In a society where live-in relationships are becoming acceptable and marriage seems to be only an additional burden with extended responsibilities, she is attempting to glamourise and glorify the sanctity of the institution. In an attempt to throw light on the significance and depth of binding two lives, she has chosen to portray important rituals through characteristics intrinsic to the divine couples in each episode.
