An NCPA Presentation

This workshop will focus on how to achieve rhythmic and musical freedom while playing the drums and the importance of studying and learning drumming vocabulary from different genres in order to fit into any musical situation. The workshop will also cover the topic of performing for American pop artistes and the skills beyond just drumming that this requires. This session aims to be interactive with Los Angeles-based drummer-percussionist Cain Daniels tailoring the experience around participant questions. Daniels has a special interest in world music styles such as Brazilian, Afro-Cuban and Haitian as well as other more contemporary styles like jazz and rock. He has shared the stage with world-renowned artistes such as Engelbert Humperdinck, Kanye West, Derek Hough, Chappell Roan and Jesus Molina to name a few.
