An NCPA Library Presentation in collaboration with Million Dollar Confidence
An exploration of the core aspects of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) to show how competencies such as intuition, passion, boldness and staying centred contribute to being effective at the workplace. The workshop aims to provide practical insights and tools to harness these attributes to enhance professional performance and interpersonal dynamics.
Components:
- Interactive Sessions:
- Self-assessment exercises: Participants will assess their own levels of
passion, boldness and level-headedness through structured self-reflection activities.
- Group discussions: Facilitated discussions will allow participants to share experiences and strategies related to these competencies, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Skill development:
- Case studies: Real-world examples will be used to illustrate how emotional intelligence impacts workplace effectiveness.
Participants will analyse scenarios to identify the role of EQ in successful outcomes.
- Role-playing: Simulated situations will give participants the opportunity to practise and enhance their emotional intelligence skills in a controlled setting.
Tools and techniques:
- Mindfulness practices: Techniques to develop emotional regulation will be introduced, helping participants maintain composure and clarity when under stress.
- Decision-making frameworks: Tools for improving intuitive decision-making will be shared, enabling participants to better trust and refine their instincts.
- Passion projects: Participants will be encouraged to identify and pursue passion projects within the workplace, fostering a culture of engagement and innovation.
Susheel Gajwani is a filmmaker and television producer who recently completed his 14th feature film— and his first in Sindhi—Aakhreen Train (The Last Train), based on a story by the well-known Sindhi writer Thakur Chawla. Gajwani’s career spans various aspects of media and entertainment, from being a producer at Doordarshan and Founder-Vice President of Money, India’s first business television channel. His work or radio is also significant: his production, ROOTS – The Time Travellers, is a fascinating show which explores Sindhi poetry.
