Stand-up comedian Anuvab Pal’s solo show Empire is loosely based on the history of India under the British Empire. Funny episodes, sketches and characters from Mughal India to modern India are explored in this show by a cowardly Bengali man under the influence—the British influence. With over six million views worldwide on the BBC World Service and with leading Indian publications calling this show “genius” and “spectacular”, the audience is assured a laugh a minute.
