Equinox is a classic sextet that plays traditional mainstream jazz and swing. The sextet comprises a jazz vocalist, two saxophones, piano, bass and drums. They will be playing music ranging from the ballads of Gershwin and Irving Berlin to songs made popular by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, music from the maestros John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins and Miles Davis to Latin rhythms. The band also blends in jazz versions of music from the Beatles and Stevie Wonder.
