Gandhi – The Musical is the story of this remarkable man’s journey over time, his experiences and experiments with Truth. This grand scale musical throws light upon the making of the Mahatma, His days as a barrister, his struggle and his voyage to champion the cause of the oppressed in South Africa with non-violence and passive resistance being his only weapon, which include the advent Satyagraha- the path of truth. Apart from the freedom struggle, the musical also touches upon his personal life. His love for his wife, Kasturba, his pillar of strength, is a prime example of complete faith and unconditional love. His relationship with his eldest son Harilal, and lastly his complete surrender to the downtrodden, neglected and ostracized Harijans, whom he considered to be his very own. An extravaganza comprising of over 16 original songs and dances across a variety of genres, also showcasing spectacular sets that depict the era of the man that shaped an entire nation.
