Lucy Soutter and Duncan Wooldridge in conversation with Veeranganakumari Solanki

Join us for tea at 5:30 pm

Considering the display of contemporary photographies – in which images are situated in the public realm not only as advertising, but as artistic and editorial installations and interventions – this discussion explores an array of leading approaches and practices through the lens of the medium’s curatorial display strategies and the photograph’s renewed materialities. In the context of the newly published Routledge Companion to Global Photographies, the discussion will examine how local and global exhibitionary contexts diverge and intersect in the photographic installation, as the image becomes something that not only pictures, but creates a relationship to place, creating distinct encounters.

Admission on a first-come-first-served basis.
