Golden Bazaar revolves around the lives of Aakash and Vijeta, a young couple who meet and fall in love in Kolkata. Aakash, who works in a corporate, and Vijeta, a dedicated social worker, are excitedly planning their marriage and honeymoon in Mauritius.

However, their relationship takes a dramatic turn when Aakash succumbs to a moment of temptation and engages in a one-night stand with a colleague. A heartbroken Vijeta agrees to forgive him—but only on the condition that she will do the same. Her choice leads her into Sonagachi, Asia’s largest red-light district, where she is faced with an emotional ordeal

As Vijeta’s journey unfolds, the play explores whether she will escape the web of darkness she has entered, and how these events will reshape her relationship with Aakash.
