Yadnesh Raikar started studying the violin at the age of two and gave his first solo recital when he was four. Over the years, he has studied music under the guidance of Kishori Amonkar, Anand Pednekar and Vasantrao Kadnekar. He is currently learning from his father, violinist Milind Raikar, Arun Kashalkar and L. Subramaniam. Having performed in India and abroad, Raikar has presented his talent before several distinguished persons including the then President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, and has been the recipient of, among other accolades, the prestigious Bharat Ratna Dr. M. S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship in Music in 2018. Purvi Parikh is a well-established khayal singer of the Kirana gharana. An ‘A’ grade artiste of All India Radio, Parikh has been nurtured in the richest possible musical background, both her parents, Arvind and Kishori Parikh, being eminent musicians in their own right. Parikh took her initial training from Fayyaz Ahmed Khan and Niaz Ahmed Khan. She has also had the privilege of receiving guidance from Vilayat Khan, Sultan Khan and Maskoor Ali Khan. She was fortunate to receive taalim of light classical music from Girija Devi. Parikh has performed at major concert venues in India and overseas.
