Ishwara is a thematic repertoire dedicated to Lord Shiva highlighting his various facets – Adiyogi, Ardhanarishwara and Nataraja. Ramya Ramnath is a senior disciple of Dr. Prakriti Bhaskar, a dancer, teacher and choreographer of the traditional Pandanallur school of Bharatanatyam in the lineage of veteran nattuvanar T. S. Kadhirvelu Pillai. This school is known for its unique cross-rhythm technique in nritta choreography while remaining rooted in the old style of restraint and subtlety in movements and expression. Ramnath has trained for nearly 15 years under her guru and is one of the leading dancers of their dance troupe – Nrityamandala Dance Ensemble.
