Spoken word & poetry in Marathi

Kavitecha Paan Live is a contemporary reimagining of the Marathi literary soul, headlined by the multifaceted artist Madhurani Gokhale.

The show bridges the gap between traditional heritage and modern expression, breathing fresh life into the legendary verses and songs of Marathi literature. Moving away from the formal constraints of a typical recital, the performance embraces a raw, dynamic young aesthetic, driven by the rhythmic energy of the acoustic guitar and cajon. At its heart, the experience unfolds as a “Marathi Kavita Jamming” session—an interactive and immersive space where Madhurani simplifies and deconstructs complex poetry into a shared, evocative dialogue.

By involving the audience in the creative process, the show fosters a unique, appreciative vibe that resonates deeply with the younger generation while remaining a cherished experience for seasoned literature lovers. It is a vibrant, multi-generational celebration designed to ensure that the legacy of Marathi literature is not just remembered but vibrantly lived.
