Duration: 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm

Learn the foundations of western dance from one of the best teachers in Mumbai.

You’ll start with a warm-up to prepare the body, then dive into foundational movements and vocabulary! By the end, you will work on a fun dance routine that brings these elements together in a creative way. The session is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all, regardless of prior experience.

Conducted by Pia Sutaria, Institute of Classical and Modern Dance

The “Institute of Classical and Modern Dance” was founded by Pia Sutaria to fill the void of a vocational education for young and passionate dancers and performers in India, by bridging the gap between hobby classes and a vocational education. ICMD has just returned from our first set of international performances in London, after a successful premiere performance of our youth company in India. We focus on mentoring students to apply to full time and part time performing arts programs and conservatories around the world, and equip them with the necessary training to be able to attend such programs. Our students study Western and Indian dance forms intensively, in a holistic and well rounded environment with a focus on exposure to dance on a global scale.

Since ICMD`s inception in 2018, our students have been accepted into renowned international performing arts schools like NYU Tisch, The Juilliard School, the Rambert School, Paris Marais Dance School, Alvin Ailey School, Joffrey Ballet, ArtsEd London, Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, and many more.
