A hands-on and practical workshop on the differences and similarities between acting for theatre and film. Through various exercises you will discover how to perform on the screen v/s the stage and create truthful and impactful characters.

Conducted by Niharika Lyra Dutt

Niharika, is an alumnus of Drama School Mumbai. Her theatre credits include Karamjale Brothers, directed by Rajat Kapoor, 07/07/07 directed by Faezeh Jalali, Chuhal directed by Manav Kaul, A Fistful of Rupees directed by Shiv Tandan and For the Record directed by Nikhil Mehta for which she won the collective META award for Best Ensemble, Best Original Script and Best Play. Niharika was also theatre mentor at the Govandi Arts Festival, where she trained Govandi’s young adults in the Foundations of Theatre and Acting. Her screen credits include Sara Mathews in Paatal Lok, for which she received critical acclaim, Bun Tikki, a feature film that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and Call Me Bae, a web show for Amazon Prime.
