This evening celebrates the remarkable journey of the award-winning film Little Box of Sweets, culminating in its much-anticipated digital release, beginning in India. In a short musical interlude, musicians from the SOI Music Academy will perform the theme music conducted by Olivier Award-nominated composer Andrew T. Mackay, and classic songs performed by Vijay Das. The evening will be introduced by the filmmakers.

Little Box of Sweets is a homage to the city of Allahabad (now Prayagraj) and its surrounding rural landscapes capturing the memory of a particular time and a place. At its heart, it is a simple love story about a young girl’s journey to pursue her dreams and the love of a man who inspired her.
