Marathi play

Mag Tu Mala Kha (So Then, Just Eat Me!) is a sharp and deeply affecting exploration of how social media, body image, and the culture of perfection shape contemporary self-worth. The play follows a young woman and a young man who meet online through their carefully crafted digital avatars. Behind their witty exchanges and confident online personas, however, lies a quiet and relentless struggle with appearance, validation, and the fear of not being enough.

As they chase the promise of the “perfect body,” their relationship with food, discipline, and self-image grows increasingly fraught. What begins as playful camaraderie slowly reveals a deeper hunger—one that is not merely physical, but emotional and existential. In a world where every image invites comparison and every screen become a stage for performance, the characters find themselves trapped between visibility and self-acceptance.

Blending humour, lyrical movement, and moments of disarming silence, Mag Tu Mala Kha gently exposes the fragility beneath curated lives. Ultimately, the play moves beyond critique to offer a tender possibility: the courage to look past filters, forgive the body, and rediscover the human pulse beneath performance.
