Born in a family of musicians, Maqbool Husain was initiated into music by his uncle, Ishtiyaq Husain Khan, the son of legendary maestro Mushtaq Husain Khan. Endowed with a strong yet mellifluous voice, Maqbool Husain is heir to the rich repertoire of the Rampur Sahaswan gharana. He has widely performed across many countries and is a recipient of several awards and accolades. Zeeshan Khan has trained with his father, Maqbool Hussain from the tender age of three. A graduate in economics and exports management, Zeeshan has kept up the family tradition by taking music as a profession. Prominent among several awards won by Zeeshan is the Radio City Freedom Award 2014 in the Folk Fusion Category. The father and son duo will present ragas and compositions typical of their gharana in a jugalbandi (duet) format.

Admission on a first-come-first served basis. NCPA members will get preferential seating till 10.20 am.
