An NCPA Presentation

A compelling Marathi theatrical production that chronicles the life, philosophy, and enduring contemporary relevance of the eminent scholar Narhar Kurundkar – A versatile thinker who challenged the status quo with bold, original perspectives on history, political thought, theatre, India’s independence movement, music, and literary critique.

The production highlights Karunakar’s progressive vision, his contribution to Maharashtra’s literary and cultural institutions, and his deep engagement with the younger generation. Through powerful writing, creative sketches, evocative music, and dynamic lighting, the play explores his views on history, politics, theatre, literature, music, and India’s independence movement, asking why his questions and perspectives continue to remain relevant today.
