Winner of Citi NCPA Scholarship for young musicians for the year 2016-17
Anuj Pratap Singh developed an early interest in music and received his initial training from his father Gajendra Singh and his gurus Gyan Singh and Ram Mohan Mishra. Singh formally trained in dhrupad under the guru-shishya tradition at the Dhrupad Kendra in Gwalior under his guru Abhijeet Sukhdane.
Singh holds a Prabhakar degree in singing and violin, and has completed his master’s in music. He is also proficient in playing the pakhawaj. He won the All India Radio (Akashvani) Music Competition in the Dhrupad Dhamar category and received his ‘A’ grade from Akashvani this year. He is currently an assistant guru at the Behat Dhrupad Kendra in Madhya Pradesh and has performed at the Tansen Samaroh in Gwalior, All India Radio Music Awards Ceremony in Pune, Dhrupad Mela in Varanasi and at other prestigious institutes and events.

Winner of Citi NCPA Scholarship for young musicians for the year 2018-19
Born in a musical family, Kalyan Majumdar was hailed as a child prodigy. He started learning the sitar at the age of four from his father Subhajit Majumdar, followed by sitar exponent Soumitra Lahiri. He also trained under sarod maestro Buddhadev Das Gupta. He gave his first sitar recital at the age of six at the G.D. Birla Sabhaghar in Kolkata. Majumdar is an A-Grade Senior Scholar at ITC Sangeet Research Academy under the guidance of Partho Chatterjee. He is a regular artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan and an empanelled artiste of ICCR. Majumdar stood first in the All India Radio Music Competition, 2015.
He has performed in India and overseas at events including the West Bengal State Music Academy Conference, the Victoria Memorial Hall Cultural Festival, Kolkata, Sadhana Foundation, Vienna (in collaboration with the Indian Embassy), G20 Culture Ministers’ Meeting 2023, Varanasi, among others. Besides sharing the stage with celebrated musicians such as Hariharan, Rashid Khan, Shankar Mahadevan, Shubha Mudgal and Kavita Krishnamurthy, he has also contributed to Bengali films.
