The world we live in is driven by technology. Even in the domain of music, it plays an important role, offering potential that can be harnessed to enhance musicianship.

This interactive workshop is designed to introduce musicians to the world of music production, equipping them with fundamental knowledge and practical skills to become self-reliant creators. Through demonstrations in Logic Pro X, participants will gain hands-on exposure to key production techniques that could enhance their musical capabilities and open up new professional opportunities. The session will conclude with insights on recognising technology as an extension of musicianship, helping musicians adapt to and carve their niche in the industry ecosystem, thus ensuring that they walk away with a foundational understanding of music production, practical skills in Logic Pro X and a vision of how production can empower their musical journey.

Deepak Sugathan is a renowned music producer and mixing and mastering engineer with substantial experience in the industry. He has to his credit a multitude of projects ranging from acclaimed films and web series to captivating jingles and international collaborations. Qualified as an audio engineer, Sugathan is a multi-talented musician proficient in the guitar. He has been a faculty member associated with A. R. Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory in Chennai. Presently, he is the head faculty of the KM Conservatory in Mumbai.
