Classical Dance Training for Schoolchildren
Annual Performances by Students

An NCPA Presentation supported by Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., L&T, Godrej Agrovet and Pirojsha Godrej Foundation

The NCPA Nrityaparichay programme is a remarkable CSR initiative, generously supported by organisations, which opens the world of classical dance to children from underprivileged sections of society. Beyond teaching dance, the programme immerses students in the rich cultural heritage, traditions and customs that define each classical dance form, fostering a deep connection to India’s artistic roots.

Nrityaparichay is set apart by its holistic approach to learning. Students not only train rigorously in their chosen dance style through the year but also gain invaluable exposure through visits to the NCPA, where they watch performances by celebrated artistes and learn the technical nuances of the art form. The culmination of their journey is a grand stage performance at the NCPA. With a legacy of success spanning seven years, Nrityaparichay has expanded its reach to 16 schools across Mumbai. The students, under the guidance of their teachers, have consistently showcased their talent at prestigious dance competitions and festivals, earning accolades and recognition. This initiative is more than just a training programme. It is a platform that transforms lives, empowering young dancers to embrace their heritage while shining brightly on the stage of opportunity.
