Darpan is a new Marathi writing initiative launched by the NCPA that offers theatre groups and writers the chance to create a piece of work that will make its debut at the Pratibimb Marathi Theatre Festival, prior to touring the state.

The plays cover a wide range of topics relevant to contemporary India, including small-town politics, the farmers’ crisis, caste discrimination, rediscovering dying art forms and the transformation of the country post-globalization. You will also get an opportunity to chat with the creative teams over a cup of chai after the readings.
