SOMA (सोम)
A Kathak duet that weaves a story of attraction and connection on a moonlit night.
Under the soft glow of a silvery moon, two dancers move as one. She shines with feminine grace, and he, drawn by her celestial pull, together weave a story of romance, passion, and connection.

THE IN-BETWEEN
A Contemporary Kathak Trio that explores the idea of time not merely as a mechanical or numerical structure, but as a lived and embodied human experience.

THE IN-BETWEEN is a contemporary Kathak production performed by Gaurav Shridhar, Gaurav Javda, and Harendra Bhushan. The work explores the idea of time not merely as a mechanical or numerical structure, but as a lived and embodied human experience.
Through the interplay of rhythm, repetition, movement, and stillness, the production examines different dimensions of time — its pulse, continuity, chaos, transformation, and eventual silence. Structured through a series of interconnected chapters, the work moves between cyclical motion and suspended stillness, drawing from the technical language of Kathak while engaging with a contemporary choreographic approach.

Using laya, taal, spatial patterns, and collective movement, the dancers embody the evolving nature of time: as heartbeat, orbit, repetition, memory, and breath. The production gradually transitions from structured rhythmic frameworks into moments of release and abstraction, culminating in a final state of stillness and reflection.

THE IN-BETWEEN invites audiences to reflect on time as something deeply personal and universally shared — not existing solely in beginnings or endings, but within the delicate space between them.
