Uma Sathyanarayanan, an acclaimed young dancer also known for her skills as a trained Carnatic vocalist is a holistic dancer. Uma’s knowledge in music enhances her understanding and performance of natya and compliments her skills in nattuvangam, a quality which is rare in today’s youngsters. Her passion and devotion to the art is evident in her recitals even as she is trying her best to take the art forward with all its fervor. Smt. Uma Sathya Narayanan started training in dance at the age of 6, in Nagpur under the tutelage of Smt. Sreemathy who is a disciple of Smt. Lalitha Srinivasan, Bangalore. Her formative years were spent imbibing the nuances of Bharatanatyam and related arts at the feet of famous gurus. She has been a disciple of Smt. Chitra Visweswaran in Bharatanatyam, Sri. Jayarama Rao and Smt. Vanashree Rao of Delhi in Kuchipudi and Smt. Rajeswari Neelakanthan, Nagpur in Carnatic music.

She has also been a disciple of late Kalaimamani Pandit Sri. R Visweswaran in Carnatic vocal music at the Chidambaram Academy of Performing Arts. From him, she received advanced training in Carnatic Music, Voice Culture & Dance Music. In addition to dance, she is also trained in other cognate art forms such as nattuvangam, dance music, theory and stagecraft at the Chidambaram Academy of Performing Arts. A noted soloist, she has performed in almost all the leading sabhas of Chennai. Her performance in January 2012 at The Madras Music Academy was a personal milestone.

Yumnam Bhumeshwor Singh is the son of Y. Shyamsunder Singh and Y. Binokumari Devi. He passed Diploma in Sankirtana (Pung,Eshei, Cholom) and Post Diploma in Sankirtana Pung from Jawaharlal Nehru Manipuri Dance AcademyImphal, Manipur. By profession, he is a Nata SankirtanaPung artiste and Music composer. He composed and directed Manipuri Film Songs, Manipuri classical dance (music), Theatrical music, Experimental music and several educational songs. He is the awardee of UstadBismillah Khan YuvaPuraskar, Sangeet Natak Akademi,New Delhi in the year 2013/2014 and Young Talent Artiste Award of NEZCC, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India in 2012/ 2013, in the field of Nata SankirtanaPung.  In 2013, UNESCO recognized Manipuri Sankirtana as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. For this achievement, in the history of Manipuri Nata Sankirtana, Shri Yumnam Bhumeshwor Singh made his remarkable contribution in Nata SankirtanaPung. Acknowledging his talent in Nata Pung performance and contribution towards the development of Manipuri Nata Sankirtana, the official of UNESCO uploaded his video and photographs in the UNESCO website. He started his career in the art of Nata SankirtanaPung at the age of 9 and had undergone training under eight eminent Gurus of Manipur. He has been honored with more than 40 certificates including trophies and mementoes in the field of Manipuri Nata Sankirtana by the Academies,Colleges, Institutes and Universities in different contributions and performances. Starting from 1997, in Manipur state, he performed not less than 35 major festivals. He also performed Nata SankirtanaPung in the countries like Canada, Hong Kong, Russia, Bangladeshetc. He did his own research under the renown Guru (Late) SanakhyaEbotombiHaorokcham,(Eminent Scholar).  At present, he is working with the renown Gurus like Guru Padma Shri S. Thanil Singh, Guru E. Chaobhal Singh (SNA Awardee) and Guru L. Lakpati Singh (SNA Awardee) and Guru Padma Shri DarsanaJaveri and Guru Latasana Devi. In the present trend of Manipur Nata Sankirtana, Guru Padma Shri S.Thanil Singh is the mentor of Shri YumnamBhumeshwor Singh.
