Preetisha Mohapatra: –
The third generation in the legacy of the god of Odissi, Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra and the daughter of the illustrious Guru Ratikant Mohapatra, Preetisha Mohapatra was born into Odissi at her home, this dancing comes very naturally to Preetisha. At a very young age, Preetisha, who was playfully lured into Odissi by her, divinity personified grandfather, was rigorously trained in the form by her disciplinarian father, who imparted not only Guru Kelucharan’s vision but also his own impeccable sense of aesthetics. Having a natural flair for dance Preetisha adapted to the form within a short span of time.

She has had the rare privilege of performing at major dance festivals throughout the country and abroad. As an important member of the Srjan ensemble and as a soloist, Preetisha has already started blazing a trail and casting her magical spell with her sheer dedication to the family heirloom, Odissi. She has a rare combination of her grandfather’s vision and her father’s penchant for perfection. Though very young, Preetisha strives to reach the level of perfection and discipline that has been in the family since three generations.
