We are thrilled to bring to you ORIGINS, an INT Aditya Birla Centre for the Performing Arts Production curated and directed by Pia Sutaria.

ORIGINS is a tribute to the extraordinary dance talent India has nurtured — a celebration of artistes who have taken flight to stages across the globe, and those just beginning to spread their wings. Curated by Pia Sutaria, this concert brings together internationally acclaimed dancers who have roots in India, alongside the rising stars of the Indian Youth Dance Company. It is an evening of artistry, homecoming, and hope — honouring our roots while looking ahead to the limitless future of Indian dance.

The evening brings together world-renowned talent and will feature a series of solos and short works by some of India’s most celebrated artistes — Manish Chauhan (as seen in Yeh Ballet on Netflix, Call Me Dancer, Peridance Company USA), Sanjukta Sinha (world-renowned and award-winning Kathak artiste), and Aishwarya Raut (Akram Khan Dance Company, former Rambert Dance Company, UK), as well as a striking excerpt from Letter by Lohani Dance Theatre.

Also featured are two works performed by the Indian Youth Dance Company: an excerpt of Changes by American modern dance icon Paul Taylor — staged by Richard Chen See and Amanda Stevenson as the culmination of a collaborative educational intensive — and Sukshma, choreographed by Neeraj Lohani with music by Maqta, recently performed at The Place and the Royal Academy of Dance in London.

Name of the artist/Group/Choreographers: Manish Chauhan, Aishwarya Raut, Sanjukta Sinha, Neeraj Lohani, Maqta, Anrj, Lohani Dance Theatre, Indian Youth Dance Company, Igal Perry, Paul Taylor.
