An NCPA Library Presentation

Mother and Child: A Bond Beyond Words

This programme explores the many emotional layers and complexities of the mother-child relationship, unfolding its tenderness, conflicts, silences and enduring bonds.

Curated for the eve of International Women’s Day, the presentation is in Marathi and brings together literature and poetry to portray motherhood as both a deeply personal and shared cultural experience.

The programme features select writings, poems and letters by eminent writers such as Indira Sant, Sunita Bai Deshpande and Shobhaa De, whose voices offer nuanced perspectives on womanhood and motherhood.

The selection, compilation and script are by Dr. Aruna Dhere. The presentation will be anchored by prominent Marathi actors Dr. Girish Oak and Mrinal Kulkarni and further enriched by Chaitrali Abhyankar and Amit Date.
