An NCPA Library Presentation

There is a popular sayng ‘Expect the unexpected’. Few artistes justify it as effortlessly as Dilip Prabhavalkar. For over five decades, he has surprised audiences with his extraordinary range—as an actor, writer and columnist. Whether on stage, screen or television, his work has been marked by intelligence, sensitivity and an uncanny ability to inhabit vastly different worlds and characters.

This programme brings together readings from Prabhavalkar’s books, Anapekshit and Mee (Asa) Kasa Jhalo, followed by a conversation with the author. The selected pieces offer glimpses into his keen power of observation, memorable encounters, experiences from a distinguished artistic journey and reflections that are by turns insightful, humorous and deeply humane.

Conceptualised by Prasad Phanse, a noted voice-over and dubbing artiste, actor and presenter, the evening features Phanse and Prabhavalkar in a rare literary and theatrical encounter that promises to be both engaging and memorable.

The programme celebrates a significant milestone—the 150th presentation of the Page to Stage series.
