Toska – An Evening of Literary Unveiling and Discussion
A Novel by Dr. Omkar Bhatkar

An NCPA Library Presentation

Dr. Omkar Bhatkar’s debut novel Toska is the moving story of Maya, a woman in her sixties, who prepares to return to her homeland. As she sorts through her belongings, she finds that each item acts as a portal to her memories of motherhood, exile and identity, culminating in a discovery that reshapes everything she believes about her family.

The evening will include readings from the book and an engaging discussion on the craft of writing with Deepa Punjani, Meher Pestonji and Prachi Sibal, moderated by Dr. Biraj Mehta.

Dr. Bhatkar is the Artistic Director of Metamorphosis Theatre Inc. and is known for his work in theatre, literature and cinema.
