Book Reading & Discussion

An NCPA Library Presentation

This event celebrates the work of Dr. Mrunmayee Bhajak, whose book, America Khatti Meethi, offers an insightful glimpse into life in that country. The programme promises to be a unique blend of storytelling, music and visual art. Dr. Bhajak will narrate selected stories, complemented by evocative imagery and music, making this a multi-sensory experience. This book consists of brief stories, most of them based in Saint Joseph, a small town in Michigan. The stories explore humongous libraries, American schools, mesmerising nature and funny situations created by cultural differences.

Come and discover the bittersweet tales of Dr. Bhajak’s American journey along with Sameer Kadam, Priyal Devlatkar and Pritam Pathare Singh and partake of a cultural dialogue.
