An Evening with Shrikant Bojewar’s ‘One and Three Quarters’
An NCPA Library Presentation
The NCPA Library invites you to the launch of Shrikant Bojewar’s latest satirical novel, One and Three Quarters. The event will feature a discussion with celebrated journalist Kumar Ketkar and acclaimed author Vishwas Patil.
The novel centres around Pitambar, nicknamed ‘Langdya’ due to a limp, and his struggles, living in a village even as he yearns for more. When he stumbles upon a secret affair between the school principal and the music teacher, Langdya sees blackmail as an opportunity to climb up the local political ladder. With Latthya, a clever and gossip-loving tomcat as his advisor, he navigates a corruption-ridden landscape, making his way to Mumbai’s Mantralaya.
A sharp satire and fable, Bojewar’s work critiques post-Independence India’s moral decay and power dynamics.
