Musical conventions and contemporary approaches, both got their due in Kishore Kumar’s voice. He worshipped the sonorous, no-frills singing of K. L. Saigal. Yet, he also amalgamated Western vocal techniques for his songs.

Even current-day commercials, featuring his songs, do not modify his well-loved ageless voice. Kishoreda’s singing could easily traverse the entire gamut of emotions—from poignant to peppy.
